Kurt Bestor Delta Hall at The George S. and Dolores Dore Eccles Theater Concert reviews
Clapton and Winwood at Hollywood Bowl
The back up musicians, what about them? Little was said except some brief chit chat by Steve Winwood. Kurt Bestor didn't greet the audience or talk at all except one or two thank you's after the acoustic numbers. The show was technically so so. I actually had to put on my sunglasses through parts of the show as the opening number started with a spot light into the crowd, just about burned out my retinas. Who thought that was a good idea to shine the spot lights into the crowd's eyes? The video cut out during much of the acoustic set, so us poor folk in the benches had no visual of the performance. The music was awesome and those guys continue to rock like the stars they are, even with the technical challenges. Maybe they were tired from the tour and just wanted to get it over with, but I did enjoy the concert. They did leave us wanting more with one encore, come on boys... Maybe that was the plan all along. These two icons need no introduction.
